Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Curbside Programs Project Manager to support an airport project within the Facilities Sector. The Curbside Programs Project Manager reports to the Arrivals Curbside and Departures CurbsideProject Managers and is responsible for assisti ng in managing the scope, schedule and operati onalinterfaces of all design and construction aspects of the Curbside Programs. The Departures Curbside Project will upgrade existing curbside canopies at Terminals 2, 6 ,7 and 8 to create a more cohesive look with the other terminals and will provide additional curbside upgrades. The Arrivals Curbside Program will reconfigure the arrivals curb improving the look and feel, provide garage façades, provide additional landscaping and restore some art and lighting.The characteristi cs of the candidate shall display a solid understanding and experience of implementing and improving public-facing services including exterior renovation projects within an active operating environment (aviation, transportati on, etc.), digital services upgrades, passenger transportation and wayfinding services. The candidate must show a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver exceptional guest services in a complex operating and stakeholder environment. The ability to lead a collaboration of stakeholders, designers and contractors will be critical to the program’s success.

The Curbside Programs Project Manager is responsible for managing the scope, cost, schedule and operational interfaces of all aspects of the delivery of the Arrivals Curbside and Departures Curbside Projects. The Curbside Programs Project Manager will be focused on schedule certainty, budget delivery and making sure that construction work meets the required quality standards while enforcing a strong health, safety, and environmental culture on the project. The Curbside Programs Project Manager will ensure the development and implementation of design, construction, testing,commissioning, turnover plans, impacts to the operations, and that risk mitigation for construction activities will be optimized.

Responsibilities

  • Project Manager and Technical/Construction Leader with experience in an operating/active environment
  • Management of project within budget and schedule constraints while maintaining all necessary scope elements
  • Leader in stakeholder engagement to identity, communicate, resolution and accomplishment their needs, while preserving the principles and criteria of the project scope, schedule and budget constraints
  • Knowledge in design and construction contracting practices and methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience in the project design life cycle from Concept to Project Definition Book to Permit to Bulletins
  • Knowledge and experience in the project constructi on life cycle from Pre-Constructi on toesti mating/buyout to phasing to implementation to Closeout
  • Ability to assemble KPI’s and decisions needed for Governance and presentation to others, including the executive staff
  • Maintaining an excellent working relationship with the design and construction professionals geared towards open communications and mutual problem solving in the best interest of the project and all other parties involved
  • Developing and maintaining a high level of team morale through professionalism that reflects well on the project team, external stakeholders and LAWA/internal stakeholders
  • Liaison and airport/owner representati ve responsible for directi ng and managing the project
  • Responsible for scope development and scope management of the project to meet project goalsand objecti ves
  • Develop the RFP and oversee the procurement process for designers and contractors
  • Providing direction and management for assigned project and ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations
  • Planning and defining program goals and devising methods to accomplish them, developing in-depth knowledge of owner objectives, contract terms, and airport policies
  • Planning, directing, supervising and controlling the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project
  • Working with team members and airport management to develop budgets, schedules, and plan for the various elements of a project
  • Oversees owner’s staff that manages full project delivery including stakeholder interfaces
  • Managing project scope to meet or exceed project goals and objectives
  • Abilities to identify and study options to complex design, operational or constructability issues
  • Ability to conduct field surveys and investigations to capture detailed and accurate field conditions. This information shall be used to enable strategic design and construction decisions
