ReconCraft is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager ot join our team in Clackamas, OR. The Cybersecurity manager will be responsible for overseeing an organization’s security infrastructure. Responsible for protecting the organizations computer systems and networks. Focused on projects relating to the security of companies' IT systems, software, and networks. Duties include designing systems to reduce IT security risks, managing and minimizing companies' system vulnerabilities and keeping up to date with data protection policies. The Cybersecurity manager will lead risk mitigation efforts, source cybersecurity tools, and ensure the organization complies with proper rules and regulations.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Develop security strategies to protect internal networks and data centers.
- Develop and implement an incident response plan to enact in the event of a cyberattack.
- Research and advise on security IT infrastructure.
- Monitor systems and networks for intrusions, attacks, and unusual activity.
- Implement protective measures for business systems.
- Research the latest cybersecurity strategies to stay updated and informed of current security industry trends, and government regulations.
- Evaluat and report vulnerabilities in companies' computers, systems, and networks.
- Design new security systems and processes as needed to ensure compliance and security of the organizations data.
- Use analytic tools to identify emerging threats or intrusion patterns.
- Engage in ethical hacking to test system security.
- Monitor access management and organize relevant permissions for user accounts.
- Maintain an IT security risk register and liaising with internal and external auditors.
- Create, maintaining, and delivering cyber security awareness training for colleagues.
- Provide advice and guidance about cybersecurity issues such as spam, phishing, or unwanted emails.
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technologies, Information Security, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline, or 7 years of experience in related field.
- Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience in a government contracting environment.
- Experience with Data Loss Prevention: specifically experience in preventing data breaches, loss, and leakage.
- Firewall Administration: experience in properly configuring firewalls.
- Forensics: experience in recovering lost data, investigating breaches, and identifying the source of cyberattacks.
- Incident response: experience in developing and establishing structured processes to follow in case of an attack or data breach.
- Security architecture: experience in assessing companies' needs and vulnerabilities, and design system architecture to keep them safe from cyber threats.
- Threat Intelligence: experience in assessing threats based on data relating to the source of an attack, what their capabilities are and what indicators of a breach to look for.
- Vulnerability Management: experience in identifying, evaluating, and reporting vulnerabilities in companies' systems or networks.
- Expert-level IT skills, including knowledge of networks and data centers, hardware, and software.
- Expert Knowledge of current security and cybersecurity regulations and government regulatory standards including XXX.
- Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects and details simultaneously
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and organize effectively and appropriately
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of business practices, trade secrets, company strategy, etc.
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and oral/written communications skills
