We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant supporting the Remanufacturing Division.  In this role you will provide support for the Reman Division Global core reporting processes with the opportunity to work with individuals around the world supporting core reporting. This role also helps support multiple reporting initiatives for Division leadership providing insights and analysis.  This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your work helps support a critical piece of Caterpillar services’ growth initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Be a trusted business partner in supporting the Reman Division Business Resource team.
  • Work with Reman leadership and various legal entities supporting analysis and improvements needed on Core Reporting data.
  • Provide support and guidance on new projects that change how Reman core reporting transacts.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and improved reporting through analytics and optimization and providing creative solutions that challenge traditional methods and processes.

What you will have:

  • Education: 4-year degree in accounting/finance OR any 4-year degree with a certification (CPA/CMA) AND 5-8 years of accounting/finance/business experience
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understand the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high level of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Strong analytical, process improvement and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven record of strong initiative, accountability, and effective communication skills working with a global team.
  • Business Unit experience with financial analysis, preferably aftermarket or component experience.

Additional Info:

  • This position can be located in Mossville, IL or Corinth, MS
  • This role requires 5 days a week in office
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
