We're looking for a Data Analyst who will focus on reconciling large datasets across multiple platforms and databases. This role requires strong technical skills in SQL and Google Sheets/Excel to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and experienced in identifying and resolving data discrepancies, generating actionable reports, and supporting data-driven decision-making. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to process optimization, and document best practices and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Reconcile large datasets across databases and platforms (300+) using SQL, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data mappings and transformations.
Generate clear, actionable reports summarizing reconciliation findings, discrepancies, and resolutions for stakeholders.
Utilize Google Sheets/Excel to perform reconciliations, validate data, and generate supplemental reports, applying formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, FILTER).
Query and analyze massive datasets (1M+ rows) using SQL to identify trends, discrepancies, and anomalies efficiently.
Develop and optimize workflows for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes using scripting or integration tools.
Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by tracing issues across source systems, platforms, and data pipelines.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications for reconciliations and reporting.
Propose innovative solutions to streamline reconciliation processes and enhance data accuracy.
Document technical processes, reconciliation methodologies, and data flows for transparency and scalability.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
3+ years of experience in data reconciliation, analysis, and reporting using SQL and Google Sheets/Excel.
Demonstrated ability to manage and reconcile large datasets (1M+ rows) across multiple platforms.
Required:
Proficiency in SQL for querying, reconciling, and validating data across relational databases.
Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel for reconciliation tasks and reporting, using formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, FILTER).
Strong ability to handle and analyze massive datasets, optimizing for performance and accuracy.
Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration tools for automation.
Additional Skills
Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
Proactive in proposing efficient reconciliation strategies and process improvements.
Strong communication skills for presenting reconciliation findings and collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
Drafting manual instructions, guidelines, process flow, checklists.
Project management skills.
