Summary/Objective: Perform a variety of duties to support the Faculty and Staff Development Branch (FSDB) at the Cyber Center of Excellence, Fort Gordon, GA. Duties include, but are not limited to: instruction/facilitation, student evaluations, course assessments, assisting students with preparing presentations, preparation time, closeout time and incorporating the current Army Learning Models, Methods of Instruction, 21st Century Soldier Competencies, General Learning Outcomes, and various media supporting current and future technology changes to enhance the training curriculum. Instructors will also provide recommendations to improve the instruction of FSDB courses that will foster a learner centric environment.
Essential Functions:
- Instruct, prepare, review, provide curriculum development support, and update program documentation in support of all Cyber CoE, FSDB Courses.
- Provide approved instruction and apply the current program of instruction (POI) in each of the following courses: CFD-IC, CFD-DC, FIFC, IFSC, AFSC, FDP1, ATDC, FTDC, TEDMMC, EIC, CTC, ISCTC, SCTC, TCC, BB, or any replacement courses.
- Perform classroom instruction and maintain instructor certification (in accordance with Army and Ft Gordon instructor certification & evaluation criteria) to instruct various FSDB courses and evaluate student performances using TRADOC-approved Instructional methodology to include 350-2 (Staff and Faculty Development Training), 350-5 (Ft Gordon Academic Practices), 350-22 (Test Control Policies and Procedures).
- Serve as assistant or primary instructors with a combined team of US Military, US Government civilian, and defense Contractors for related FSDB courses conducted in-residence at FSDB facilities PWS.
- Collaborate with current Government personnel to establish acceptable instructor practices and student evaluation criteria.
- Stay current with required industry certifications and provide a copy of certifications to the COR.
- Manage and maintain accountability of the classroom presentation equipment and classroom furniture.
- Identify furniture or equipment issues and report them to proper personnel.
- Maintain established classroom security requirements and procedures as prescribed in TRADOC Pamphlet 350-70-4, FG policies, and/or local SOP.
- Install and/or operate classroom control software on classroom IT equipment.
- Provide students with evaluation sheets, administer and enforce test control standards, and conduct testing in subjects taught, to include grading of exams, evaluation of results, recording of exam result, and administer student critiques for courses.
- Maintain and report student attendance, records, and statistics as prescribed in TRADOC Pamphlet 350-70-4, FG policies, and/or local SOP.
- Evaluate students and report academic concerns.
- Participate in IPRs (In Person Reviews).
- Provide recommendations to support modifications to lesson plans, student handouts, slides and practical exercises due to changing technology, changes in training requirements or critical tasks selection site boards (CTSSBs).
- Assist with preparing for courses by compiling course materials, equipment and classroom setup.
- Instruct/facilitate classes and evaluate student performance. Instructors/Facilitators shall collaborate with Government personnel to establish a productive student centric learning environment for all courses taught within the staff and faculty development section.
- Conduct peer to peer evaluations as assigned.
- Report equipment issues to the COR.
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as training manuals and regulations.
