About the role

<p><b>Introduction</b></p><p>The Sr Project Manager MDEV Design Automation plays a crucial role in the Mechanical Development cluster with driving projects that realize business changes and improvements for the way engineers work in MDEV. To accomplish this, it is required that the Sr Project Manager is accurate, structured, a team player, facilitator and can act on different organizational levels. A Technical background is preferred and experience in project management, stakeholder management and being well-communicative is a must.</p><p></p><p>The projects in the Design Automation context have the goal to establish improvements in the Designers WoW and tooling. This will enable them to make designs more efficient and of a better quality. This quality and efficiency gain is made possible by improvements of providing consistency in engineering data and by increasingly automating design process steps with advanced tools. Data consistency and advanced Design Automation tools are in their turn an important corner stone for the creation of a Digital Twin of our physical machines, enabling us to do high-level system simulation and verification early on in the design process.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Job Mission</b></p><p>As a Sr Project Manager MDEV Design Automation, you connect and create the overview of all deliverables, inputs and needed activities for Design Automation projects. You secure  that relevant Process owner(s), knowledge keepers and/or key-users and other stakeholders are connected. These activities cover the complete scope of the Design Automation project, from start to end, from identifying up to handover to the standing organization.</p><p></p><p><b>Job Description</b></p><p>The Sr Project Manager MDEV Design Automation is responsible for the following:</p><ul><li>Taking the lead of multiple business change and process improvement projects in the Design Automation Program</li><li>Initiating, Planning, Executing and Implementing improvement projects for Design Automation</li><li>Identifying and managing projects’ stakeholders, e.g. user groups, process/competence owners and line managers</li><li>Aligning projects’ objectives, deliverables and dependencies with stakeholders</li><li>Proactively identifying, assessing of risks and managing the risk responses</li><li>Delivering high quality results within agreed scope, time and budget.</li><li>Organizing a smooth hand-over from the project to the standing organization</li><li>Communicating project progress to teams, project boards, program management and other stakeholders</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education</b></p><p>Engineering Bachelor or Master degree.</p><p>Certification in project management or agile/scrum methodologies is preferred.</p><p></p><p><b>Experience</b></p><ul><li>5 - 10 years in managing complex projects in the high tech industry, preferably in development and engineering domain</li><li>&gt; 5 years in improving processes with advanced  IT or software solutions</li><li>&gt; 5 years work experience with (electro-)mechanical development- and engineering processes</li><li>Track record of successfully having delivered projects with major business change components</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Personal skills</b></p><ul><li>Leadership. Ability to give direction, motivate and convince a team of professionals.</li><li>Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills.</li><li>Problem solver with a pro-active and persistent attitude, hands-on “can do” mentality.</li><li>Able to structure and organize work together with your team, facilitate workshops and coach people</li><li>Ability to deep dive in technical and design-process issues</li><li>Can take helicopter view while maintaining attention for details</li><li>Combine persuasiveness and decisiveness with a pragmatic attitude.</li><li>Familiar with organizational change management methodologies</li><li>Takes ownership, has quality focus.</li><li>Fluent English in word and in writing.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Context of the position</b></p><p>The sector Development &amp; Engineering (D&amp;E) of ASML is responsible for the specification, design and realization of the products in the ASML portfolio.
