Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Join a team where your passion for quality and your drive to make a difference truly counts.The Software Test Engineer is responsible for developing automated testing strategies and implementing them in industry standard testing frameworks. The Software Test Engineer provides testing automated testing expertise and oversight and also plays a role in providing advice and guidance and monitoring emerging technologies.

What You’ll Do:
Collaborate
  • Work alongside developers, analysts, and product owners to comprehend the functional and technical requirements.
  • Participate in discussions to define and refine testing needs and strategies.
  • Assist in estimating testing tasks for various projects and regular operations.
  • Team up with fellow testers, sharing insights, and learning from collective experiences.
  • Engage in constructive defect identification and resolution discussions.
     
Execute
  • Support the software testing initiatives, ranging from unit to system tests, ensuring detailed coverage.
  • Develop and maintain test plans and test cases to confirm software functionality, reliability, performance, and security.
  • Design and utilize automated test scripts, employing standard testing tools and best practices.
  • Partner with the development and product teams to facilitate swift defect detection and resolution.
  • Document and track defects diligently, promoting transparency and actionable feedback.
  • Contribute to peer reviews of test cases and automation scripts, upholding quality and consistency.
  • Actively solicit feedback on testing processes and methodologies, advocating for iterative improvements.
  • Stay informed about emerging testing tools and techniques, fostering a culture of continuous professional growth.
     
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different 
    combination, such as 4 years’ experience in a related field
  • Experience or familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar platforms.
  • Initial understanding of cloud platforms, notably Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience with Docker is a bonus.
  • Sound knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Analytical aptitude, with the ability to understand and test complex software functionalities.
  • Comfortable working in an agile development environment, fostering collaboration and openness.
  • Effective communication skills, proficient in presenting testing results, and feedback to various stakeholders.

Drug Testing

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.
