Position Overview:

FlexAI is seeking a talented and innovative AI Compiler Engineer to join our cutting-edge team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and optimization of compilers tailored for FlexAI's purpose-built AI compute systems. As an AI Compiler Engineer, you will collaborate closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and system architects to ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of compilers for AI workloads.

At FlexAI, we are on a mission to build a highly efficient and performant AI Stack for Model Training, aiming to positively disrupt the AI infrastructure space. To achieve this ambitious goal, we are seeking an outstanding AI Compiler Engineer, someone with a solid understanding of compiler optimizations and principles, machine learning and deep learning concepts, and a strong drive to make a significant impact.

What you'll do:

• Develop and optimize AI compiler techniques for improving the performance of deep learning/LLM models.
• Define and build the infrastructure to measure and track compiler performance in synthetic as well as functional benchmarks
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to design, develop, and debug AI models, tools, and libraries
• Contribute to the company's research and development efforts to drive AI/Machine Learning forward.
• Participate in performance analysis, tuning, and debugging session.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced team environment and meet demanding schedule goals
• Contribute to hardware architecture, from the perspective of programmability, and AI model performance

What you’ll need to be successful:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AI Compiler Engineer, preferably in within the PyTorch ecosystem.
• Demonstrated experience in compiler optimizations and principles.
• Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning concepts, Good knowledge/Experience with the PyTorch2 stack is a major plus
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Go or Rust, with a focus on compiler development.
• Experience with compiler optimization techniques and code generation for AI workloads.
• Experience with compiler frameworks is highly desirable (LLVM, MLIR, TVM, etc)
• Experience with hardware / software co-design
• Knowledge of parallel computing architectures and vectorization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
