The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the company's facilities, ensuring that all building systems operate efficiently and effectively. This role involves managing a team of maintenance staff, coordinating with external contractors, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

This position will be onsite in Foley, AL. Relocation assistance is available.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to ensure the efficient operation of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing training and support as needed.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
  • Monitor and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building systems and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support facility-related projects and initiatives.
  • This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address emergency maintenance issues.
  • The role may involve physical activity, including lifting and moving equipment, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • 2 years or more in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Awareness of safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • 5 years of experience in facilities management or maintenance
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with outside service contractors.
