Job Summary
This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety functions including, but not limited to, the following: weighing and ticketing inbound/outbound trucks, preparing shipping documents, accepting payment, basic typing and word processing, answering calls, customer relations, etc.
Job Responsibilities
- Review for accuracy and process receiving of Raw Material
- Prepare delivery tickets and related shipping documents
- Check and review all orders assigned before they are shipped against delivery tickets
- Work closely with truck drivers to ensure delivery date/times are accurate, D.O.T. compliance with load weight and secure loads are met
- The position requires accurate record keeping of each truck entering/leaving the site as well as the weight of all materials entering/leaving the site
- The position uses computers, spreadsheets and databases
- Strong information storage and filing skills are required
- Some work may include analyzing data and making various computations
- Familiarity with scale operation and with shipping is an asset
- The successful candidate will have a proven safety record as well as a history of being a team player
- They must be able to work without direct supervision
- Shift work and overtime will be required
- Answering incoming phone calls
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience in related function
- Minimum one to three years of related experience
- Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Mathematical and communication skills
- May require occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Walking and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to climb flights of stairs throughout the day
