As a Security Document Technician , you will …
What will you do?
- Primarily, you will create new document templates and modify existing ones to ensure the security documents database meets current business requirements.
- You will assist collecting market information on the issuance of security documents globally by liaising with various stakeholders including other Thales departments, international organizations, security documents suppliers, etc.
- Collaborating with Security Document Experts, you will contribute to testing and enhancing the Thales Document Verification product.
- You will support Thales' customers in maintaining an effective, high-quality Document Verification solution for both public and private sectors.
- You will monitor the progress of security document coverage within the global circulation of current documents.
- You will maintain meta-data and product documentation associated to the security documents database in the context of Thales’ automated document verification engine.
- You will handle additional tasks within the scope of the Product as assigned by your manager.
To do this, you should have…
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Criminology, or a related field.
- Experience in security document production or inspection projects, along with knowledge of automated security document verification equipment, technologies and software tools is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of forensic analysis of security documents or experience working with forensic experts in the field of counterfeit document detection.
- Expertise in security documents, including physical and optical security features, as well as document production and personalization techniques
- Basic understanding of global standards for identity and travel documents.
- Familiarity with image processing techniques, such as filtering and basic editing, along with advanced knowledge of image quality and compression techniques.
- Advanced English & Spanish (oral & written).
- Soft skills: Passionate of technical work, team player, proactive, creative, autonomous and detail oriented.
Any of the following will be valued:
- Experience with software development and integration tools, such as source control systems, continuous integration systems, and testing frameworks.
- Good knowledge of database fundamentals.
- Experience with server management and network administration.
- Proficiency in programming languages.
