Position Summary:

Xylem is looking for a Senior Field Service Technician to service our customers in the New York/New England States area.

What your day will look like as a Field Service Technician:

The Senior Field Service Technician will be responsible for the installation, service and maintenance of our water treatment equipment, utilizing a company service vehicle. Job duties include but are not limited to: performing maintenance on chemical feed systems/metering pumps, piping systems, control systems, collecting wastewater samples, performing water analytical testing, Working with datalogging devices, data entry. Organizing service vehicle inventory and managing vehicle maintenence. Running routine service routes and emergency response requirements.

This position has general day shift hours with overtime opportunities. Overnight travel requirements 20-50% due to size of service territory., with company paid hotels and meals.

Job Requirements for Senior Field Service Technicians:  

• HS diploma or equivalent
• One year of work experience preferred
• 2-3 years technical experience preferred- industrial or commercial process water experience a plus
• Water or wastewater experience highly preferred
• HVAC/Plumbing experience A PLUS
• Experience with Microsoft office, including the ability to utilize smart devices
• Ability to work in a high customer facing position
• Ability to identify and remedy potential safety concerns
• Ability to pass a background check & pre-employment drug screen
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
