Overview

The Office Assistant to Enrollment & Student Success at Pennsylvania College of Technology is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Enrollment & Student Success Administration, the Director of Enrollment Communications & Systems and the Director for Student Advocacy. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the core processes associated with each area of responsibility.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent. Required
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science or Office Administration. Preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Two (2) years of clerical and/or secretarial experience, OR, equivalent combination of experience and education. Required

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

  • Superior interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with staff, faculty, students, school district personnel and the public. Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Enrollment & Student Success Administration, the Director of Enrollment Communications & Systems, the Director for Student Advocacy, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Support administrative needs of the College’s placement testing processes, including daily reviews, communications, and approvals.
  • Support the development of re-enrollment materials for students returning to the College.
  • Serve as the primary backup for the Davie Jane Gilmour Center Information Desk when staffing coverage is needed.
  • Serve as the Recording Secretary for the AS&I governance committee.
  • Provide occasional support for reception of the Hudock Center for Academic Excellence.
  • Coordinate and submit purchase orders as needed.
  • Support the revision of policies and procedures relevant to the division of Enrollment & Student Success.
  • Support budgeting and staffing processes in coordination with the Manager of Budget and Staffing Processes as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination of events and meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and community and secondary partners.
  • Provide support for the Hudock Center for Academic Excellence's programs and services, including managing sensitive student data.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new initiatives and projects.
  • Conduct research and gather data as needed to support the operations and decision-making processes of areas of responsibility.
  • Provide additional support to other Enrollment and Student Success offices, when appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment & Student Success Administration.

    Pay Transparency

    Based on minimum education and experience qualifications the hourly range is $19.00 - $24.00.
