CSEngineering is looking to add Cyber Security Engineers (Junior through Journeyman level) to our growing team! The positions will support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command in designing and implementing systems to meet cybersecurity policy and regulations. Utilize cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Integrate secure practices such as PKI integration, IdAM, multi-factor authentication, service-oriented architectures, and network or web-related protocols​. Apply NIST security controls, governance, risk management, compliance security documentation tools, and the RMF.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Junior:
  1. Design and implement systems to meet cybersecurity policy and regulations.
  2. Use cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Integrate secure practices such as PKI integration, IdAM, multi-factor authentication, service-oriented architectures, and network or web related protocols. Apply NIST security controls, governance, risk management, compliance security documentation tools, and the RMF.
  3. Supports requirements development to safeguard the system against external and insider threats.
  4. Track any changes to systems, subsystems, and components.
  5. Analyze the security impact of those changes.
  6. Report the security status of the system IAW USSF guidelines and processes for system security and cybersecurity.
  • Journeyman:

Journeyman provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff analysis, evaluation and recommendations in system design and implementation to meet cybersecurity policy and regulations. Expert knowledge and understanding of cyber security compliance, information assurance, C&A, and information systems.

Expert knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks. Integrate secure practices such as PKI integration, IdAM, multi-factor authentication, service-oriented architectures, and network or web related protocols​. Guides program and project staff in applying NIST security controls, governance, risk management, compliance security documentation tools, and the RMF.

In support of individual SSC programs, provide cybersecurity compliance, IA oversight and management, C&A, and the required security services for current and future systems maintained under this Task Order (TO) including certified Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs). These services shall be delivered using a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate risk management, information security controls, and governing processes. Currently, the SSC manages approximately 30 ATO packages across the enterprise.

Guides agile development teams (e.g., DevSecOps) to implement proactive approaches (to contractor provided SE&I requirements) to reduce vulnerabilities and improve responsiveness to unforeseen events, ensuring that the application development is compliant with the USSF security policies and the NIST framework.

Provides advice on developing requirements to safeguard the system against external and insider threats and facilitate compliance with and readiness for all ATO requirements, including:

  1. Track any changes to systems, subsystems, and components.
  2. Analyze the security impact of those changes.
  3. Make appropriate recommendations and once approved, provide for the security controls and the system Security Plan (SP).
  4. Report the security status of the system IAW USSF guidelines and processes for system security and cybersecurity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Current Top Secret or TS/SCI or TS/SCI eligible

  • 3+ years (Junior) or 5-10 years (Journeyman) of Cyber Security experience, preferably with space systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science with a Cybersecurity Concentration or a related field.

Preferred Certifications and Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Cybersecurity, Space Systems Operations Management with a Cybersecurity Focus, Information Assurance and Cybersecurity, and/or Aerospace Engineering with a Cybersecurity Concentration is a plus.
  • Training or certifications in Network Operations and/or Crypto Services is a plus.
