The Associate Data Systems Engineer supports site data systems and informatics solutions that enable GMP manufacturing, testing, and compliance activities at the Andover site, under the guidance of senior team members. Responsibilities include configuring, maintaining, and administering data systems, learning GMP processes, completing assigned tasks, and ensuring reliable data for investigations and reporting.
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
Support the operation and maintenance of site data systems used for GMP manufacturing, quality, and laboratory activities
Execute assigned configuration, data checks, and verification activities following established procedures and work instructions
Assist with troubleshooting data system and data flow issues under the guidance of senior engineers as needed
Support computer system validation activities, including documentation preparation and testing execution
Support informatics and data solutions by assisting with data extraction, basic analysis, and reporting to enable investigations, process monitoring, and operational decision-making under supervision
Support development and maintenance of GMP procedures, job aids, and user documentation related to data systems and appropriate data use
Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with stakeholders to support data availability and accuracy
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with any years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant experience
Experience in data systems, information technology, engineering, manufacturing support, or related technical roles
Basic understanding of structured data, databases, or data analysis concepts
Ability to follow defined procedures and work in compliance with GMP requirements
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
Exposure to GMP environments, regulated systems, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Experience with data systems, laboratory systems (e.g., LIMS) or manufacturing systems
Familiarity with basic data manipulation, visualization tools, or scripting concepts
Internship or co‑op experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or IT environments
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform mathematical calculations, basic data analysis, and technical troubleshooting
Ability to review and follow detailed written procedures
Ability to support multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a regulated environment
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Occasional need to support site activities outside standard business hours
Limited travel may be required for training or collaboration
