Job Duties

To provide direct Human Resource (HR) program support to staff relative to timekeeping, and various other areas of Human Resources as required. Assists in all facets of semi-monthly payroll, creates Department of Corrections DOC-3's, sends packets to payroll office at Atmore headquarters, keys transactions into Cardinal and DOCtime.

Minimum Qualifications

Considerable knowledge of offices practices, procedures, and office equipment. Working knowledge of a variety of manual and automated filing systems; of Standard English grammar, punctuation, and usage. Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and to accomplish office support requirements. Demonstrated ability to interpret and follow oral and written rules and regulation; to maintain harmonious working and public relations; to learn new practices, procedures, and equipment operations. Demonstrated ability to organize and complete work assignments with minimal guidance from others; to understand and apply operating procedures and compose written response to inquiries. Considerable recent experience providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting. Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain automated and manual filing systems. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information in a courteous manner. Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Additional Considerations

Prefer prior HR experience; Customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting. Recent experience using office equipment (i.e., computers, printers, copier, and fax machine). Background in record keeping, prior timekeeping experience preferable using DOCTime.
