Position Summary
The Ld. Director, VBS Clinical Documentation is a highly visible role requiring significant collaboration across VBS, Oak Street Health, Signify Health, and other CVS teams. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drive year-over-year improvement in the accuracy & specificity of clinical documentation during VBS patient wellness visits, post-discharge visits, and in-home health evaluations.
- Partner with Health Care Delivery’s clinical documentation center of excellence to develop and implement HCD-wide clinical documentation initiatives within VBS.
- Partner with Oak Street Health MSO’s clinical documentation team to drive VBS-specific process efficiencies and plan / execute the rapid scaling of the VBS clinical documentation program over the next few years.
- Partner with VBS and Signify programs to implement clinical documentation initiatives into provider workflows in a supportive and efficient manner.
- Own reporting and performance management of the overall VBS clinical documentation program, including metrics, dashboards, etc.
- Manage multiple clinical documentation project plans to ensure efforts stay on track for deadlines and prepare updates and read-outs on project progress; collaborate across VBS teams to plan and communicate launch calendars, initiative deployment schedules, key milestones, and owners.
- Identifies people, process, and technology risks, effectively driving resolution commensurate with priority, impact, and urgency.
- Collaborates on special projects including early-stage business cases for new initiatives, identifying and evaluating Enterprise assets for deployment, and growth planning.
- Other duties, as assigned.
The role requires adeptness at managing ambiguity and a commitment to collaborative solutioning. The ideal candidate is a highly organized self-starter with a results-driven mindset. The Ld. Dir., VBS Clinical Documentation reports to the Vice President, VBS Chief Operating Officer.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of applicable project management and / or strategy consulting experience in healthcare.
- Ability to translate strategy into execution; willingness to drive end-to-end execution of initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills that support effective stakeholder engagement.
- Prior experience building and leading high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally, in writing, and through visualization to present complex information in a way that effectively engages and influences.
- Excellent executive presence and comfortability influencing colleagues and decision makers at various levels of leadership.
- Health economic, actuarial, or financial modeling skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
