Job Profile SummaryDevelop executive level strategic partnerships with employee benefits target/stewardship firms. Drive channel connectivity to support the growth of medium-term plan results for Transamerica Employee Benefits group and voluntary products. Act as the subject matter expert on the Transamerica go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve relationships with target/stewardship firms, enrollment technology partners, and partnering carriers that drive revenue and value to Transamerica.
- Initiate Partner Business Plans: Business overview (markets they serve, product focus, cross over with TA, carrier market share, etc.); annual goals (activity, submitted premium, paid premium); roles and responsibilities; contact mapping.
- Develop, manage, and report on firm level activity (quarterly updates), RFP activity, sales, firm supplemental compensation agreement management, and act as liaison for the financial reporting area.
- Manage market updates outlining product and service enhancements, state approval updates, third party partnerships (HSA, PTO Exchange, benefit admin partners, tech fee offset partner programs, etc.).
- Partner with mid-market, large-market and wholesale-market sales teams on contact mapping, host producer engagement events (product spotlight webinars, educational programs, thought leadership events), and support office level engagement strategies.
- Partner with Marketing and Events teams to develop annual calendars for industry and target firm events (thought leadership engagement); manage process, attendees, agendas and appropriate follow up.
- Participate in and attend industry association memberships/board and attend annual events.
- Work with retirement sales and client executive teams to build foundations for effective cross selling of employee benefits.
- Partner with internal Account Management, Marketing, Product, Operations and Actuarial teams to provide client deliverables.
- Identify market trends for development of new products, distribution outlets, and segments for Transamerica portfolio.
- Meet annual growth targets at firm level (10% annually as an example).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
- Eight years of business development or relationship management experience, preferably on a national level
- Five years of employee benefits sales experience in the employee benefits industry working with brokers, consultants, agents, and benefits techn
