The Role
Architecture Internship:
As an Architecture intern with us, you will have the chance to experience the day-to-day activity of the Kyndryl Mainframe Architect and to understand how to create a clear picture of how customer requirements can be met in an agile, sustainable, and flexible way. The Kyndryl architect internship experience is that of an introductory mainframe architect. You will be exposed to mainframe zSystems lab work, architect tools, disruptive topics, architectural thinking and Team Solution Design methodologies. There will be opportunities for real-life customer experience with the zCloud team and customer shadowing is also part of the regimen. You will acquire a basic understanding of why mainframe architecture is so important and needed in modern industry.
To excel in this internship, you will need to apply industry knowledge and best practices to develop effective IT solutions. In addition to your technical skills, you will also need to be a skilled communicator.
Program Overview:
As an intern, you will spend the summer working on challenging and high-visibility projects. The internship will be on-site and hybrid in our Texas location. Limited stipends for housing are available for interns that do not have a residence (home or school) within 50 miles from their assigned site location.

The pay range for the position will be $25-30/hour based on a full-time schedule working 40 hours a week.

Required Technical and Professional Experience
Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Service Now)
Coding: JavaScript, Python, Development Tooling, and concepts: GitHub, agile, CI/CD Development
Languages: REACT (preferred), Ruby, Bash, node.js, JavaScript, Python
Environments: SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server), RHEL, Advanced Interactive eXecutive (AIX)
Windows Automation platforms: Kubernetes k8s runtime, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins
Databases: DB2, SQL, Sybase IQ/ASE
Various integration experiences using web services, cloud API, etc.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:
Ability to Analyze Viability of Infrastructure Architecture
Ability to Apply Architectural Methods; Apply Architectural Thinking
Knowledge of Architect Conceptual Infrastructure Model
Knowledge of Architect Specified Infras
