Job Title: Electrical Repair / Industrial Electrician

Maintenance: Industrial Electrician- (Georgetown Container) $2,000 Sign-on Bonus

International Paper, a world leader of Industrial Packaging, is currently seeking applicants for the position of an Industrial Electrician at the Georgetown (Box) Container Plant.  Ideal candidate would have a strong mechanical aptitude and possess 3+ years of direct industrial electrical experience - preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate:

$31.23 - $39.84/hour

Sign-on Bonus:      

$1000 after 30 days of continuous employment

$500 after 6 months of continuous employment

$500 after 1 year of continuous employment

 

Duties include but are not limited to

• Installing wire and conduit for newly installed and existing equipment such as conveyors, programmable controllers, converting and corrugating machinery
• Replacing faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and position sensing devices such as proximity switch timers, scanners and photo electric devices
• Diagnosing and repair/replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards
• Troubleshooting drives, i.e. AC and DC
• Reading electrical block diagrams, schematics as well as PLC ladder logic

 

Experience:

• 3+ years of industrial electrical experience preferable in a manufacturing facility
• Basic computer skills

Competencies include:

• Electrical aptitude
• Troubleshooting expertise
• Mechanical knowledge

Overtime hours required

• Applicant must successfully complete Electrical qualification tests, physical and drug screen, employment verification, and criminal background check.
