What's the role?
Team:
We are looking for an Intern to join our HERE SDK team (https://www.here.com/platform/here-sdk), to be a part of an international group of over 50 nationalities who are creating location services for the digital world of tomorrow.
We transform information from devices, vehicles, infrastructure, and other sources into real-time location services that play a key role in how we move, live and interact with one another. The HERE SDK provides a set of programming interfaces that enable developers to build immersive native applications with features such as routing, turn-by-turn voice navigation, search, interactive 2D and 3D vector maps and much more.
To make all of that happen, and to deliver the best quality on the market, we are growing our documentation team, where you will be embedded and contributing to real world projects and applications to enhance our product documentation for the HERE SDK.
Responsibilities:
- You will be closely working with our team to create and to deliver world-class documentation. You are responsible to create new documentation for our new and upcoming products, but also maintaining our existing product's documentation.
- You will work with other teams in the company to deploy and deliver user guides, API references and example apps for our products, but also customer engineering products. You will develop code examples and demo applications for the documentation, and deliver this code also to our customers via platforms like GitHub.
- This position requires an understanding of APIs, SDKs, and application design principles as well as excellent communication skills while interacting with R&D teams.
Who are you?
You are a Software Engineer / Computer Science student with a passion for writing, who is willing to take on the challenge of joining an agile organization that is doing ground-breaking work in the world of location services. Moreover, you should bring along the following skills:
- Basic programming experience in either Java, Kotlin, Swift, Dart or C++.
- Familiarity with mobile development platforms such as Android, iOS or Flutter is a plus.
- You are passionate about reading books on programming and are not afraid of technical documentation.
- First experience with writing concise texts on any topic.
- Documenting and presenting your work.
- Open to learn new things, strengthen your software development skills, enjoy working and doing research in a tech team.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent command of the English language.
It is a contract for 20hrs/ week for 6 months or 40hrs/week for 3 months.
