Business Planning & Performance Management Director

The Business Planning & Performance Management Director is responsible for leading the company’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical activities. This role provides critical insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making and optimize financial performance. 

Responsibilities 

Budgeting & Forecasting  

• Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts.  

• Collaborate with department heads to consolidate and refine budget inputs.  

• Monitor variances and provide actionable insights on performance versus plan.  

Financial Analysis  

• Analyze business trends, financial results, and key performance indicators (KPIs).  

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and executive presentations.  

• Conduct scenario modeling, ROI analysis, and profitability assessments.  

Strategic Planning  

• Partner with leadership to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and cost-saving opportunities.  

• Provide financial modeling and decision support for strategic projects.  

• Contribute to long-term business and financial strategy development.  

• Reporting  

• Develop dashboards and visualizations for financial and operational performance.  

• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of financial data.  

• Support board reporting and investor communications as needed.  

Process Improvement  

• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve accuracy.  

• Implement best practices in planning, reporting, and data management.  

• Support system implementations or upgrades related to finance tools.  

Requirements

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling expertise. 

• Proficiency with financial systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion, or similar). 

• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. 

• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
