Under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations, the Maintenance Engineer will perform modifications and alterations in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing work.
A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am—3:30pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Modify/alter electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing activities.
Complete routine maintenance.
Complete work order requests.
Complete routine inspections of the hospital and complete a daily log form.
Assist with hospital inventory and maintain departmental supplies.
Occasionally be required to transport patients to/from the hospital to Main Campus.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Trade school diploma
OR High School diploma and three years of building trade experience
Understands the age-specific developmental stages of patients served by the Hospital and demonstrate the ability to interact appropriately with patients of all ages when necessary
Specific trade license/certification and/or specific training through education and/or equivalent on-the-job experience
The license/certification must be renewed annually or as required by the licensing/certification agency
Must participate in continuing education activities as required to maintain license/certification or to keep current in the trade specified.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
3 years of experience in general healthcare building maintenance
HVAC experience
