Position Summary 

The People Systems Manager is responsible for supporting and maintaining specialized and internal HR systems, services, and applications used in organizations with customized or specialized needs.


Essential Functions Statements

  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the organizations internal People information services systems, which may include database management, implementation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Oversees and maintains internal database files, tables, codes, backup files, integrity, and security.
  • Installs, implements, modifies, and upgrades software and applications to meet changing business and technology.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, training and guidance.
  • Collaborates with leadership and the People Team to identify needed improvements and enhancements to existing information services and databases; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for People Services users.
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between the People Team, Platform Technologies, external vendors, and other stakeholders for database design and implementation projects.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, People technology, and HRIS applications.
  • Oversees the procurement of appropriate hardware and software to ensure that the organization has high quality, efficient systems.
  • Builds a culture of continuous improvement within the team that aligns to the Metrea Firmware 

Competency Statements

  • 10 years of progressive management experience in People Systems 
  • 5 years of ADP WorkForce Now and/or WorkForce Management experience
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or Human Resource Management preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPP or FPC preferred
  • Excellent problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify problems and systematically gather data, identify root cause and address data integrity issues as needed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Desire to innovate and improve processes with through automation and workflow management
  • Able to work effectively in a time sensitive environment, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external teams

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. 

Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Education: Bachelors degree
Experience:  10+ Years
Certificates and Licenses: 

  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • CPP/FPC a plus

Education: Bachelors Degree in IT, Human Resources, Finance, or related field, preferred

Experience: 10+ Years
Certificates and Licenses: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CPP or FPC a plus

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products
