You’ll be responsible for organizing, planning, assisting, and coordinating your team to provide optimal animal care.  This position requires the employee to be in the office and or customer-facing for all hours worked.

We Require

  • Three years of experience working with animals in a veterinary hospital, humane society, or another animal facility (may include volunteer work)

  • One year of experience in a supervisor role

  • High school diploma or GED

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Other Requirements

  • Must be flexible and able to work all shifts, which include starting as early as 5 am and finishing as late as 7 pm, working weekends, and holidays, determined by the needs of the Department

Job Contributions

  • Conduct supervisory duties, including recruiting, scheduling, performance management, feedback, and managing complaints

  • Provide coaching to employees to correct performance deficiencies and implement corrective action and performance improvement procedures

  • Train, monitor, and deliver care activities to ensure the highest level of care for animals in the facility, including cleaning, pet monitoring, feeding, etc

  • Deliver the highest level of customer service to customers, volunteers, and key stakeholders, ensuring their team delivers to the same standard

  • Build relationships and gain the trust of other animal welfare organizations and members of the public

  • Conduct routine audits to ensure proper safety protocols, disease management, proper sanitation, and service delivery are being delivered to remain in compliance with ACC standard operating procedures and ensure legal compliance
