The Role: 

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic People Business Partner to support our cross functional leaders in championing a high performance culture. The position is on a fixed term basis for a period of 12 months (mat leave cover).

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage employee relations within the organisation and drive the culture to attract and retain key talent. Coach and counsel managers on all issues related to managing performance, employee concerns, employment legislation, company initiatives, development, onboarding etc.
  • Elevating the employee experience at Nitro including overseeing a range of employee programs from employee engagement, performance management, job level frameworks, L&D, recognition.
  • Driving progressive programs that create a high-functioning, inclusive culture and that positively impact our growth.
  • Advise and liaise with additional stakeholders in relation to disciplinary, grievances, absence management & best practices
  • Assess business needs and recommend targeted processes, policies, and solutions that will drive business growth and efficiency
  • Proactively anticipate conflicts and drives win-win outcomes
  • Influence future People Team strategy with feedback on opportunities and current issues impacting the teams and business
  • Comply with local legislations by studying existing and new legislation, advising management on needed actions and compliance
  • Partnering with legal counsel (immigration & employment law) as necessary
  • Coordinate with payroll on employee changes, onboarding & offboarding
  • Update HRIS system (BambooHR) & follow processes as required.

What we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience an HRBP position within a fast-paced and professional environment working across a number of business functions with a preference to technical/engineering organisational experience.
  • Experience in a SaaS or technology environment is an advantage
  • A strong understanding of Irish & EU employment legislation required
  • An understanding of CAD/US employment legislation an advantage
  • Proven ability to work on assigned project with minimal direction
  • Someone who is employee focused and responsive; you are the go to person for employees and managers alike
  • Senior level communication and presentation skills, including ability to train and communicate with all levels of employees
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and stay organised while working through complex issues with a high degree of accuracy 
  • Team player with a collaborative communication style and a proven ability to build, mentor and retain quality employees in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong work ethic with a can do attitude
  • Experience of BambooHR, Lattice & ADP an advantage.
  • HR related degree or CIPD qualified preferred
