We are looking for a customer-focused, strategic, and proven leader to join as an Assistant Manager of Business Banking Operations, assisting in the development and support of Business Banking sales strategies, accountability for operational efficiency, member experience, and other key department objectives and projects.

The position will manage the day-to-day responsibilities, including overseeing Business banking closers, managing operational efficiencies, helping to mitigate risk by effectively reinforcing policy and procedure, managing pipeline migration, as well as other duties assigned by the business group head.

Leadership:

  • Coach, train, and manage assigned staff, ensuring adherence to Credit Union and departmental standards. Prepare timely evaluations that accurately measure employee performance and provide direction for future growth and development.
  • Ensure the Business sales team’s adherence to Credit Union and departmental standards. Prepare timely evaluations that accurately measure employee performance and provide direction for future growth and development. Practice Integrity Coaching principles.
  • Routinely coach using the Integrity Coaching principles and Member Advantage philosophy, evaluate progress, and provide frequent and timely feedback to the team.
  • Motivate team, set and communicate clear expectations and goals for employee performance and responsibilities.
  • Hire, supervise, evaluate, counsel, and terminate (when necessary).
  • Ensure proper staffing and training of staff; responsible for the interviewing and selection of qualified candidates and perform all responsibilities by current organizational goals and standards. 

Strategic:

  • Assists in preparing, implementing, and monitoring the budget for the department that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and annual budget.
  • Develop goals based on the departmental budget and current and projected market conditions to maximize total departmental performance, utilizing all available internal and external resources.

Lending:

  • Supervision of loan closing documents.  Oversight of an internal loan document system or work directly with outside firms for attorney-prepared documentation.
  • Inspects closing due diligence with all third-party vendors (e.g., appraisal, environmental reports, title company, etc.).
  • Ensuring loans are documented, funded, and booked according to the credit approval and ensuring any post-closing items and exceptions are resolved.
  • Manages, directs, and inspects post-closing requirements (ticklers)
  • Oversees maintenance of loan documents with all required and supporting documentation.
  • Oversee document imaging for loan documents.
  • Ensure credit approvals and closings conform to the credit union’s policies and procedures.
  • Oversees rate reductions, re-price changes, extensions, and modifications for existing commercial real estate loans.
  • Directs and inspects release of mortgages, assignment of rents and leases, UCCs, and vehicle liens for paid commercial loans.
  • Assist in administration and reporting for SBA loans to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedure requirements.
  • Inspects the accuracy of loan data and performs maintenance to the core system.
  • Manage ongoing loan monitoring and tracking of UCC filings, insurance, mortgage recordings, title liens, possessory collateral, and financial information for each active loan, per loan and policy guidelines.

Operational:

  • Create and monitor reports that enhance pipeline accuracy, closing dates, and required due diligence. . Provide weekly feedback from reports to leadership of CFC and suggest lead generation activities.
  • Understand and comply with the rules and regulations associated with the Business industry.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all agency records are accurate, current, and up to date with Business carriers, external websites, internal documentation within the Credit Union, and all other entities.
  • Supports Member Care and Community Financial Centers on Business Banking activities and products.
  • Must demonstrate functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: the U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act
