Job Summary:
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Access and Engagement is seeking a Business Services Coordinator to serve as a central member of our Administrative Core. This position plays a key role in supporting programs and initiatives across the office by serving as the intake and coordination hub for administrative and financial processes. The role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with university business operations while contributing to programs that advance community engagement, access, and educational opportunity.
In this role, you will support day-to-day business activities including procurement and travel coordination, tracking and routing documentation, responding to internal and external inquiries, and assisting with program logistics and events. You will work closely with colleagues across campus and gain exposure to a variety of university systems and operational processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building experience in higher education administration within a collaborative and mission-driven office.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the central intake contact for the office, receiving administrative and financial requests and directing them to the appropriate process or staff member.
Process and route documentation related to procurement, travel, stipends, scholarships, vendor onboarding, and other business operations in accordance with established procedures.
Track and monitor the status of requests, approvals, and payments to support timely completion and accurate recordkeeping.
Maintain organized tracking systems and documentation to support operational transparency and compliance.
Coordinate logistical support for meetings and programs, including room reservations, catering requests, and occasional onsite event assistance.
Provide administrative support for onboarding, offboarding, and routine personnel documentation.
Work Location:
Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings and events.
