About the role

Position Summary...

The Bidding Producer is a key member of our studio's production team, responsible for bidding, scoping, and scheduling day-to-day operations across a variety of projects, with a focus on live action film and video production; live streaming and experiential activations. This role ensures that each project is bid and scoped on time and budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Bidding Producer coordinates closely with creative, technical, and production teams, managing resources, schedules, and logistics to facilitate seamless execution of each project. May also include acting as line producer: managing the budget, hiring crew and talent and ensuring that creative needs are met and needed assets are captured and delivered on time. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of production processes through post, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Experience with visual effects, and XR/Virtual production techniques required. We are hyper focused on creating a smooth and premium experience for our crew and stakeholder partners.

What you'll do...

Preproduction

  • Budget: Create and manage a line-item production budget in AICP format, ensuring all crew and expenses are planned and accounted for.

  • Scheduling: Develop a detailed production schedule, outlining all phases from pre-production through post-production.

  • Hiring Crew: Work with Creative department to source, hire, and negotiate contracts with cast, crew members and support staff; maintain payroll and production reports.

  • Logistics Planning: Arrange locations, permits, equipment rentals, and other logistical needs.

  • Work with EP to establish and negotiate rates.


Production

  • On-Set Management: Oversee daily operations on set, ensuring that the production stays on schedule and within budget.

  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during production, from technical difficulties to personnel conflicts.

  • Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between the director, cast, crew, and other production departments.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed on set.

  • HR standards are followed and communicated to all crew and talent.

  • All necessary payment and paperwork per governing labor laws are followed and executed.


Post-Production

  • Budget Tracking: Monitor and manage the remaining budget during post-production.

  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with post-production teams to ensure they have the necessary resources.

  • Delivery: Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time and meet the required standards.

  • Liaise with data and post teams to ensure files are created and processed according to studio


Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Bidding and/or Line Producer or in a similar role within the film or television industry.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in film production, Media Studies, or a related field (preferred but not required).

  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with production management software and budgeting tools.

  • Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of production processes, budgeting, and scheduling. Including unions DGA, IATSE, SAG, non-union.

  • You will bring your LA market relationships and crew network.

  • Problem-Solving: Innovative and resourceful in addressing production challenges. Ability to think quickly and solve problems under pressure.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work long hours and adapt to changing schedules
