Job Summary -Director Infusion Pharmacy

Responsible for leading all aspects of ambulatory and home infusion services, including teams, facilities, and operations across multiple locations. This role shapes the strategic direction of infusion business lines while ensuring coordinated, high-quality, and cost-effective care. This position oversees quality, patient safety, patient experience, and financial performance, while maintaining compliance with organizational, state, and federal standards. Collaborates closely with providers, payers, and community partners to strengthen services, support growth, and expand access to care.

Essential Functions - Director Infusion Pharmacy

  • Provides leadership for ambulatory and home infusion services across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with organizational vision, patient needs, and community demand.
  • Directs day-to-day operations with a focus on standardization, access, and streamlined workflows; leverages data and technology to improve efficiency, reduce variation, and enhance the patient experience.
  • Champions a culture of high reliability by overseeing safe medication-use processes, sterile compounding compliance (USP '797' / '800'), and immediate-use compounding practices within infusion centers.
  • Analyzes market trends, referral patterns, and payer dynamics to identify growth opportunities; designs and executes business development plans that expand patient access, volumes, and revenue.
  • Develops, monitors, and manages operating and capital budgets; ensures cost-effective resource utilization while maintaining service quality and preparing for future growth.
  • Partners with providers, referral networks, and payers to expand infusion service reach, grow patient volumes, and strengthen Corewell Health’s market presence.
  • Works closely with pharmacy, nursing, providers, and operations teams to integrate care, support clinical protocols, and align infusion services with broader ambulatory strategies.
  • Builds and empowers cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration; mentor's leaders to ensure long-term talent sustainability.
  • Engage in ongoing evaluation of services, benchmarking against best practices, and implementing new care models or technologies that elevate quality, access, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications - Director Infusion Pharmacy

  • Required Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN)
  • Preferred Master's Degree healthcare administration, business administration or management, nursing or related field in business, health care administration or related field
  • 7 years of relevant experience Progressive experience in pharmacy, nursing, or infusion services Required
  • 5 years of relevant experience Experience managing multi-site operations or large-scale service lines in an integrated health system Required
  • Successful completion of American Society of Health System Pharmacy accredited PGY1 program or equivalent experience. Required

  • Successful completion of American Society of Health System Pharmacy accredited PGY2 program or equivalent experience. Preferred

  • LIC-Clinical Pharmacist - STATE_MI State of Michigan Pharmacy 180 Days required And

  • LIC-Pharmacist Controlled Substance - STATE_MI State of Michigan Pharmacy
