LMI is seeking a Data Architect SME to assist a United States Army client in architecting, designing, and developing a next generation command and control.

Responsibilities
- Lead the Data Line of Effort (LOE) for the program.
- Act as the Lead Data Advisor to the client.
- Develop a strategy and architecture for a data pipeline that supports a cloud-based Platform as a Service built in AWS GovCloud that aligns with DOD IT policy.
- Create/Review Data Architectural Diagrams
- Engage with senior government stakeholders with the ability to provide data SME technical advice and consultation.
- Ability to present at the C-suite/General Officer level.
- Ability to create and understand data architecture that is consistent with guidance outlined in the Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF).
- Design Strategies for databases, data-centric, distributed architecture, and a Cloud Infrastructure network.
- Establish standards needed for database operations, programming, query processes and data security.
- Model, design, and construct multiple relational databases or data warehouses.
- Create and optimize data models for appropriate data infrastructure and workflow.
- Integrate new systems with existing warehouse and data structures and refine system performance and functionality.
- Ability to design a data architecture that supports an enterprise data mesh concept.
- Familiarity with a variety of database types and implementations
Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance
- Minimum 10-years of professional technical experience
- Minimum of 5-years of data focused professional technical experience
- BS in computer science, data science, engineering, or STEM (Masters preferred)
- Skilled in the use of project management techniques and best practices (PMP and Agile certifications preferred)
- Skilled in process design, development of process flow models and schematics, definition of process elements, and development of business process documentation,
- Skilled in the use of DoDAF diagram modeling tools, and development of external system interfaces.
- Experience in enterprise database, data-centric enterprise system design, and multidimensional network.
- Experience architecting, designing, developing, and deploying data centered applications in a cloud- based government IT environment.
