Job Purpose:
We are in search of an experienced Parts Counter Sales Representative to provide exceptional customer service and assistance in the sale of trailer parts and components by phone and in person. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of trailer suspensions, axles, and body
components. Knowledge of tarp and lighting systems is a plus! The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and computer skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary job duties and responsibilities are included but not limited to:
• Help determine and obtain trailer parts for customers as requested by phone or in person
• Suggest sale of related parts for full service
• Locate and obtain parts for customer from warehouse or suppliers
• Create sale orders and invoices in accordance with company procedure
• Process approved credits for customers when merchandise is returned
• Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, and product features
• Provide customers with product catalogs and flyers
• Utilize non – selling, non – servicing time by reaching out to customers studying catalogs, reviewing price sheets, changes, additions, and deletions
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills for this Position:
• Effective communication, organization, and multi – tasking skills
• Deftness and attention to detail
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to learn and operate computer systems ; MS office, outlook, word, excel
• Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and desire to contribute to a team
• Willing to work 40+ hours weekly
Requirements:
• At least one year of experience in trailer parts sales is preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required
• Random drug testing required after employment
Working Conditions:
• Primarily inside parts counter/office conditions.
