The role

SoFi is looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our team focused on the Invest suite of products. Come help shape the future of our financial apps by designing and building a holistic experience from the moment a member creates an account to when they are ready to make important decisions in their financial journey. If you are passionate about UX, visual design, and solving problems, then SoFi is the place for you.

Due to the temporary nature of the engagement, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

What you’ll do:

• Design product features from start to finish, from early sketching and concept phases to final pixel-perfect Figma files that are ready to ship
• Work closely with the Design Director, Research, Product Management, Business Unit, and Engineering partners to gather feedback and drive a continual cycle of design iterations and improvements
• Develop user-centric design solutions based on research, member insights, and industry best-practices
• Create detailed design specs and presentation documents to clearly communicate design intent and solutions
• Contribute to the SoFi Design System
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams working on other projects to drive alignment and consistency across the entire member user experience

What you’ll need:

• 5+ years of experience designing and successfully shipping multi-platform products and features from start to finish
• Strong interaction design and visual design skills
• Expert knowledge of mobile (iOS/Android) and responsive web UX best practices
• Experience working in an Agile development environment using tools like Jira and Confluence
• Ability to translate user research, user needs, and product data to make informed design solutions
• Proven track record for delivering end-to-end solutions from concept to production with measurable outcomes
• Experience working with senior leadership and advocating user needs in the context of business and technology drivers
• A 4-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
• A portfolio URL to submit with the application with examples of mobile and responsive web product design

Nice to have:

• Experience working on consumer engagement, growth, and social experiences
• Experience working with remote teams and stakeholders
• Experience working within the Finance or Lending industry
