Join the Creative Play Lab and invent ground-breaking new play opportunities and never-seen-before creative experiences for LEGO® fans of today and tomorrow! As a people leader and contributor in our Hardware Engineering group, you'll be operating on a global scale in a newly developed team within the Play Engineering organization in Product Innovation and Design at the LEGO Group in Boston!
Core Responsibilities
Serve as an individual contributor and leader of engineers accountable for all dimensions of electronics and power management technology solutions used within our products to deliver truly incredible play experiences.
Champion and demonstrate best practices for engineering, collaboration, innovation, and delivery as we together develop new play experiences at the boundary between the physical and the digital world.
Work with both internal technical staff and external partners to ensure robust electronics and end-to-end power management solutions are delivered at excellent quality and high volume to the market.
Demonstrate exceptional systems thinking and agility as the teams navigate some of the newest technical approaches to appropriate power solutions.
Lead and review technical design and development activities within these functional domains; collaborate as needed throughout the Hardware Engineering group and within Play Engineering.
Serve as an exceptional people leader to the engineers working in electronics and power management areas, providing coaching/mentorship, opportunities for professional growth, and supportive feedback to help the team members continue stretching to reach their fullest potential. The engineers will be located in our offices in Boston, Denmark, and Singapore.

The Senior Manager, Electronics serves our engineering group as both an individual contributor and people manager. The role is based in either Billund, Denmark or Boston, Massachusetts where LEGO Play Engineering is expanding our global footprint. Our mission is to advance groundbreaking innovations that will redefine the future of play for the builders of tomorrow.
Do you have what it takes?
10+ years of experience in roles that involved both engineering management and individual contributions in robotics/mechatronics, microelectronics, complex systems, low power electronics and battery technology, or other similar domains.
A builder with passion for creatively using technology as a vehicle to design one-of-a-kind play experiences to children around the world.
An excitement to help grow and lead this function within Hardware Engineering as we accelerate our expansion into the Boston tech community.
Demonstrated success in managing this technology domain as well as individual contributions involving technical leadership in design and development of electronic products from idea stage to mass production in high-volume markets (e.g. consumer electronics).
Experience with key electronic component providers and manufacturing partners.
Excellent people and technology talents, written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to travel as necessary, roughly 20-30 days per year, as part of our global team.
New Location Update - US Only
This position will initially be based at our LEGO office at Boylston St, Back Bay, Boston before moving to a new central Boston office location by the end of 2026. Our hiring teams will discuss this with you during the interview stages.

Compensation
In accordance with the United States Pay Transparency Law, the salary for the US position has a range of $135,000 - $202,000 with bonus eligibility, which is based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.
