Radiation Therapist Float position

** Hours are Monday through Friday. No Weekends**

This is a float position and will work between our radiation offices.

Duties

· To administer radiation therapy treatments that are prescribed under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.

· Understand and operate Varian equipment

· ARIA software

· Review and understand charts

· Explain procedures to the patients

· Ensure that safety protocols are followed for patient, family and staff

Requirements

· License to practice radiation therapy- registered with ASRT and ARRT

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Attention to detail and ability to master and troubleshoot technical machinery

· Ability to be compassionate and understanding with anxious patients and family

· Ability to focus on detailed work while working with distressed individuals

· Ability to help adjust or shift patients as needed

· Ability to coordinate and schedule assessments and treatments

· Ability to both follow direction and act independently

· Ability to maintain professionalism while working with sick patients
