Description
We are looking for an Assistant Director II to join our team in the Division of Administration and Financial
Management within the Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (DBHDID).
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to oversee the planning, assessment, and
execution of projects across the DBHDID state-owned facilities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Oversee all facilities management and operations for department facilities across the state.
- Addresses facilities management projects and repairs. Coordinates with facility staff, other cabinet agencies and contractors.
- Provides technical management assistance concerning all Capital Projects for all Department for Behavioral Health, Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities facilities (DBHDID). Drafts, recommends and presents the Capital Plan to division director and department leadership for review and approval.
- Directly supervises employees. Completes performance planning and evaluations on employees. Reviews and approves time and attendance records.
- Reviews, analyzes and develops ad-hoc reports concerning management issues as requested. Reviews applicable statutes and federal regulations. Evaluates routine, special and technical reports to monitor effectiveness and efficiencies of activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to oversee complex tasks and projects .
- Strong organizational and time. management skills; can organize information systematically; establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- Written and oral communication abilities; present ideas in clear, concise and objective manner.
- Interpersonal skills ability to interact successfully with a wide range of people.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Experience analyzing reports and strong attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:
Five years of administrative or management experience, two of which must include direct supervision of personnel.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:
A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:
Additional administrative, management, or research experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
