Job Description:

Discover’s Internal Audit Department (IAD) is committed to providing insightful perspectives, leveraging specialized talent, and delivering a refreshing experience to all of our stakeholders.  These commitments are met through technically skilled professionals who are collaborative, hard-working, and highly motivated to consistently deliver high-quality work in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Summary:

Complete audit testing in a dynamic environment to provide insights to business partners and identify payment services risks and control gaps.

Focus Areas include:

  • Counterparty Credit Risk

  • Network Participant Management

  • Digital Payment Processing

  • Credit and Debit Authorizations and Settlement Processing

  • Regulatory Compliance

Responsibilities:

  • Help design or tailor work programs

  • Audit major components of business units

  • Autonomously execute testing

  • Perform risk assessments of business activities, potential exposures, and the materiality of loss

  • Leverage available data and analytical tools during planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audit engagements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Analytics, or related field

  • Relevant Experience: 2+ years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Audit experience within an Accounting / Consulting firm, Financial Institution, Payment Network, or Regulatory Agency is preferred

Certifications:

  • Six Sigma, STEM, or Business, Risk, or Audit related certifications

  • CIA, CISA, QSA

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $63,500.00 to $107,100.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
