Overview

  • Are you an experienced and proactive leader in collections looking to make a significant impact? Reporting directly to the VP of Direct Collections, this pivotal leadership role oversees collections operations, drives strategies to manage new and aged debt portfolios, and leads a high-performing team. Expertise in Salesforce and Excel is critical for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage collections processes to ensure the timely and effective recovery of outstanding debts.
  • Develop and implement collection strategies to maximize recovery rates and minimize bad debt losses.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party collections agencies, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Manage the bankruptcy process, ensuring adherence to regulations and efficiency.
  • Investigate credit risk in customers and suppliers, advising on credit applications and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Design and refine processes to improve cash flow and optimize receivables management.
  • Monitor and negotiate overdue accounts using exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analyze credit and collections data, identifying trends and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to collections activities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of collections experience, with a proven track record in managing both new and aged debt portfolios.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience, with demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and developing direct reports.
  • Knowledge of credit and collections processes, including risk investigation and debt recovery strategies.
  • Hands-on experience managing third-party collections agencies and driving performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Excel, with the ability to analyze data and enhance collection operations.
  • Analytical skills to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Communication and negotiation abilities to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Proven ability to meet project goals and manage personnel and budgets effectively.
