LSSI is hiring a full-time Staff Accountant, Monday through Friday. Responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of reports and statements. - Perform timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (i.e. net assets, investments, revenue, expenses and payroll allocations) ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
- Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
- Assist the Controller in developing and monitoring monthly financial reporting needs.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/business required.
- One to three years of experience in accounting required.
- Background check clearance required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math functions required.
- Experience using Great Plains preferred.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent organization, and pc/computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
