CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1 – Facility Disposition Project at the West Valley Demonstration Project. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, CHBWV continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at this site.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION
The primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst II (Payroll Specialist) is weekly/bi-weekly payroll processing, timesheet audits, general ledger reconciliations and compiling journal entries. Other activities in support of various financial functions include maintaining documented records, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and government regulations. The role will support and perform other accounting functions as needed such as AP, sales tax, and ad hoc reporting.
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS in Accounting or Business Administration
- Minimum of two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with ADP or other payroll processing system.
- Experience with general ledger treatment, reconciliations, and ad hoc analyses

- Must have a working background in financial analysis including a working knowledge of government and corporate relations. Knowledgeable of basic financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, invoicing, banking, analysis and accounting entries.
- Must possess a standard knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and governmental regulations to successfully complete difficult assignments.
