About the role

Position SummaryThe Supply Chain Lead manages the supply chain activities of Centerline Biomedical. The Supply Chain Lead plays a key role in a fast paced, rapidly growing medical device company.  Oversees tasks related to production planning, materials purchasing, inventory control, and distribution. Monitors the movement of raw materials, in-process goods, and completed products to ensure that production needs and customer expectations are met. This position is responsible for the S&OP Process, Management of the ERP system, Vendor Relationships, Production Jobs (Work Orders), New Product Introduction to Operations, Transportation and Logistics Initiatives and Cost Management, Operations Processes and Metrics, adhering to Medical Devices Quality and Regulatory requirements and Continuous Improvement.  Must maintain control over all inventories, including transactions, purchasing, planning, scheduling, cost, work orders, warehouse, receiving, and shipping to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time.  
Responsibilities/DutiesS&OP Process● Collects data and prepares analyses designed to forecast demand or predict inventory needs.● Prepare bi-monthly planning, revenue and inventory reports to support bi-monthly Operations Review and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)● Develop and maintains detailed inventory reporting for materials and supplies located in the company, at warehouse sites, and at third parties● Forecast and optimize products and supplies with various lead times to maintain proper inventory levels, ensure customer fulfillment levels and meet business revenue goals● Manages jobs in the Centerline factory to ensure that materials are available for production builds to meet forecast demand and planned finished goods inventory levels● Determine optimal inventory levels and monitor work orders and purchase orders to ensure business goals are metVendor relationships● Maintains contact with vendors and submits purchase orders or requisitions to ensure a continuous supply of goods. ● Coordinates cross functional activities to resolve issues with vendors● Support strategic initiatives that Centerline initiates with our vendor base
New Product Introduction● Develop and direct phase in / phase out plans for new product introduction, both in the supply base and in the Centerline factory● Support Request for Proposal (RFP) process for new products or new suppliers● Coordinate with project teams and finance to monitor product costs● Participate as a contributing team member as a supply chain representative on cross functional projects as assigned
Transportation and Logistics Initiatives● Review all transportation and distribution of product throughout the supply chain, making improvements towards optimization and best practices● Analyze, report and organize activities to control distribution costs
Operations Processes and Metrics● Gather operational performance data for metrics and coordinate improvement activities.● Evaluates existing supply chain processes, implementing changes when necessary to improve efficiency and overall performance. Develop and implement improvements to reduce costs and improve supply chain processes● Monitor suppliers and purchase order commitment against supplier performance metrics● Continue implementation of Epicor ERP and develop new Epicor reports to optimize functionality and streamline monthly inventory reporting● Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, and monitor usage of contracts as well as renegotiate amendments if needed on regular basis for maximum results● Conduct business relevant communication to optimize a good relationship between the supplier and respective stakeholders
FDA & ISO 13485:2016 Medical Device Quality Systems Requirements● Develop standard operating procedures within Centerline Quality Management System for Supply Chain and Logistics, aligned with FDA and ISO 13485:2016 requirements● Maintains accurate records as required per Centerline Quality Management System● Works with Quality personnel to assess, monitor and approve suppliers
Continuous Improvement● Develops and implements improvements to reduce costs and improve operations processes.● Participate in Lean events and apply lean principles to the workplace

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience RequiredEducation & Experience• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, operations management, supply chain, business, or other related field• Five years prior experience in production planning, inventory, production support, logistics or related experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to manufacturing business systems, materials management, purchasing, and cost accounting• Strong ERP skillset (Epicor experience a plus)• ASCM membership or equival
