A.Duties & Responsibilities
The tugger operator reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for removing product from all machines assigned to the tugger route.
Tugger Operator
Management will establish an efficient route from machine to machine; material storage area, warehouse and assembly areas and the Tugger operator must follow the route established.
1. The Tugger operator will advise the supervisor immediately if a task cannot be attended to or completed as required.
2. The Tugger operator must not convey any items without complete identification. If product is found without proper identification it must be reported to your Supervisor immediately.
3. Tugger operator will ensure that product is stored in the proper assigned areas in the warehouse using FIFO (first in, first out).
4. Communicate with the Tugger operator on the next shift to coordinate/anticipate mould changes and required tasks set out by your supervisor.
5. Notify your Supervisor immediately if you notice any items are low in inventory to avoid potential shortage
6. Tugger operator is responsible for scanning product in areas assigned by your supervisor before moving to the warehouse.
7. Tugger operator must maintain equipment in good working order and report any problems or safety issues to their supervisor immediately.
B.Minimum Qualifications
1. Grade 12 education. Tugger or Material handling experience or injection molding experience.
C.Required Skills
1. Tugger operator handling.
2. Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function.
3. Forms, Tags, and Labels.
