The Job:
As a Sr. Channel Manager, you’ll be part of our Channel Marketing team working as a virtual employee. You’ll get to:
- Direct and coordinate strategic marketing activities to achieve operating plans for the business; you’ll have overall responsibility for the profitability, promotion, pricing, merchandising and new product plans for Industrial for PROTO.
- Lead cross-functional work with Commercial, Product, Brand, Supply Chain and Finance teams to develop strategic growth initiatives, including product, online merchandising, and promotion strategies
- Present new products, merchandising, and promotional strategies and successfully execute market communication plans and new product launches
- Review brand and merchandising messaging and tactics to make sure they comply with overall channel strategy and make recommendations on improvements for a better customer experience
- Analyze and track POS, inventory, market share, and competitive landscapes; track program/promotional effectiveness and develop and execute changes and improvements, as required
- Work closely with the Sales and Finance teams to manage listings, maximizing sales and profitability via mix management, promotional opportunities, and pricing actions
- Independently makes sound business decisions to drive top and bottom lines, driven by a holistic understanding of the channel P&L
- Provide regular guidance to less experienced team members and lead high-impact activities and projects across the broader channel team
The Person:

- A minimum of eight plus (8+) years of Product, Sales and/or Marketing experience within the Retail space with a record of demonstrated achievement in sales growth and margin accretion
- Solid analytical skills with strong understanding of key business and financial metrics such as Sales, Gross Margins, Operating Margins, Inventory Turns, etc.
- Customer-focused, can-do mindset with a passion for problem-solving and commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
- Project management, collaboration, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated success communicating effectively with all levels of the business
- Experience navigating a complex organization and changing priorities and while exercising attention to detail; ability to manage deadlines and focus on high-impact work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite and other ERP Systems (SAP, BW, Salesforce, etc.)
