Position Title:  Intern

Position Summary:  We are excited to offer a part-time Employee Benefits Internship to one student looking to kick-start their career in the insurance industry this spring semester! Throughout your spring semester, you will work within our Employee Benefits team to successfully complete numerous data clean up projects, learn Brown & Brown's processes and procedures, and develop your knowledge of group benefit plans. The ideal candidate would be able to work approximately 10-15 hours per week and be available to start in mid January.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Collaborate with client service, sales, and operations teams to complete a large and time-sensitive benefit plan design data project.
• Work with both the sales and client service teams to complete various projects and administrative tasks.
• Shadow sales and service teammates; participate in meetings, events, and activities as needed.
• Strengthen your knowledge of the insurance industry, insurance lines of coverage, and proper processes and procedures.
• Complete an end of internship project and case study based on your interests, culminating in a presentation to the office leadership team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Current enrollment in a post-secondary course of study; preferably in the field of Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field. Rising seniors preferred.
