Position Summary

Ensures that developed/modified application components align with the business solution and enterprise architecture and meet solution performance goals. Undertakes detailed design work that is in accordance with standards and guidelines of the overall enterprise architecture, and develops high-level and functional design documents. Identifies and resolves cross-capability, cross-release issues that impact the business architecture integrity. Provides specialist advice to the business regarding issues in the application of technology to enhance business performance. Works with business analysts in defining business requirements, and works with the development and support managers to develop detailed system design, in line with the solutions architectures. Undertakes problem diagnosis and analyzes and designs production fixes and minor enhancements. Collaborates with project managers and developers with scoping of projects, ensuring that they are scoped in accordance with architectural objectives and principles. Engages with developers to solve design problems and provide corresponding solution specifications; ensures adequate collaboration occurs where programmers service the same customer. Contributes to the maintenance of a central knowledge repository for design models, development standards, tips and techniques for tools, building components, test plans, test scripts and project deliverables. On higher career levels may work on multi and/or cross-functional business solutions.

The Sr Advanced Solution Architect Technology role at Light & Wonder (LNW) supports aspects which operate and enhance the Core HCM, Security Administration and Reporting & Dashboards functions of Workday in a global business environment.  In addition to specific ERP related activities, the position will manage a team of Workday functional and technical resources, work with business leaders to collaborate and develop tactical and strategic HR operations plans. For day-to-day operations, the position will interact with the internal IT organization and external service providers to pursue multiple concurrent initiatives. 

The Sr Advanced Solution Architect Technology will serve as support to the primary HRIT liaison to the business to understand business needs and help prioritize and lead the delivery team., engage with the business community, both internal and external, to determine needs and identify opportunities for system improvements and maintain the business abreast of upcoming changes. The Sr Advanced Solution Architect Technology will interact with the Platform functionality team, internal COE’s, HRBP’s, networking teams and external vendors daily to perform the job functionalities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as a system administrator for Workday Core HCM, Talent Management, Security Administration and Reporting & Dashboards and the go-to subject matter expert and provide Technical leadership to People Capability Operations and Business teams in all aspects of the Workday HCM.
• Participate and/or lead specific projects while working in an environment where we value Knowledge, Openness and Transparency.
• Manage the deliverables of the offshore delivery teams
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and new functionality in areas related to the Workday product.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders and others across the team to define requirements and develop a robust solution.
• Work with functional teams for discovery and design sessions, as needed.
• Designing, development, testing and deployment of Core HCM, Business Process configurations, Security and Reporting
• Experience in designing and developing complex reports as required for some integrations as well as testing and support.
• Facilitate communication and information flow between business partners and project teams to refine requirements and deliver on project goals against long-term Roadmap
• Provide support to functional owners and end users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issues.
• Researches and minimizes reported problems or pain points within HR platforms, drives resolution of issues, analyzes security issues, and recommends corrective and proactive action.
