What You’ll Work On (High-Value Experience)
- Class 8 semi-trucks + trailers
- Engines: Detroit DD15 / DD16 / Series 60 / Cummins X15
- Transmissions: DT12, Eaton Auto, 10/13/18-speed manuals
- Systems:
- Electrical / ECM diagnostics
- Fuel & ignition systems
- Pneumatic & hydraulic systems
- Brake systems (Bendix, Wabco)
- Diagnostic software:
- DiagnosticLink, Cummins Insite, Navistar, Bendix, Wabco, Edith
Key Responsibilities
- Diesel diagnostics & troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance & DOT inspections
- Engine, transmission, and drivetrain repair
- Accurate repair documentation
- Team collaboration on major repairs
Fleet Variety = Faster Skill Growth
Gain experience across multiple equipment types:
- Vans
- Flatbeds
- Gravel trains
- Tankers (fuel & pressurized)
- Live bottoms

Requirements
? Requirements
- 6–12 months diesel/mechanical experience (preferred, not required for trainees)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Flexible schedule availability
? Preferred (Not Required)
- CDL or willingness to obtain
- ASE certifications
- Michigan heavy-duty mechanic license
- Fleet maintenance software experience
Physical Requirements
- Lift 35+ lbs
- Bend, kneel, squat, and work in shop conditions
- Operate tools and shop equipment
- Pass drug & alcohol screening
