We are hiring for 3 full-time Budget & Finance Operations Analyst
Job Location is 1445 K Street, Downtown
Hours: 8-5, Monday – Friday

Job duties
Provides support, advice, analysis, and consultation to the Governor, state agencies, and other government officials. Evaluates program effectiveness and efficiency and implements recommendations on program and budget policy, emphasis, and direction. Reviews and monitors financial and operational reports. Reviews and analyzes agency operations with subsequent presentation of analysis to the Governor and senior staff. Confers and makes formal presentations regarding options to agency directors and the Governor concerning specific agency programs, facilities and staffing patterns. Aids department heads in implementing new programs by providing necessary fiscal and management analysis and information. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in public administration, finance or economics or related area plus four years of work experience in public administration, finance, economics or related area. Experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who possess a bachelor’s degree or higher in any of the stated educational areas. Ideal candidate will have experience or training in delivering formal presentations. Experience in data analysis and research utilizing spreadsheets and databases such as Microsoft Excel and/or Access.
Other: Regular and reliable attendance is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skills in presentation and explanations of complex concepts to leadership/executive level personnel. Ability to manage competing priorities to accomplish organizational objectives. Ability to work with individuals at varying levels of the organization/ government. Ability to identify and communicate opportunities for optimization and efficiency within financial and operational systems.
