About This Role
In this role, you will lead a high performing, field-based Key Account Management (KAM) team.  As the National Commercial Business Director, you will ensure business practices are executed in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations when representing product(s) to healthcare providers, and external stakeholders including various staff of appropriate sites of care (hospitals, IDNs, infusion centers, clinics/offices).  You will collaborate with field-based and home-office teams including, but not limited to Marketing Market Access, Training, Medical and Commercial Operations to support the commercial strategy and overall performance of the BBU biosimilar brand(s).

The National Business Director is expected to build, lead and support a high-performing field organization while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and a sense of urgency towards the achievement of desired goals and outcomes. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of market trends and business dynamics with an emphasis in Immunology. 

Key Responsibilities
•    Recruit, hire, and build commercial field team to deliver against the strategic biosimilar brand objectives.   Collaborate with Commercial Operations on the design of appropriate performance metrics that drive results with attention to the “what” and the “how” aligning with the business unit culture.
•    Lead the commercial field team and serve as a positive role model with effective/demonstrated leadership qualities that drive high performance.  Actively engage with KMEs and key accounts to support key field team commercial efforts.
•    Lead the development and shaping of customer engagement strategy across emerging channels
•    Exhibit a high degree of strategic expertise and business acumen within complex markets.
•    Maximize revenue through focus, engagement, and inspiration of the team.
•    Develop emerging leaders; demonstrate appropriate coaching and guidance to prepare individuals through career development plans.
•    Proactively develop and cultivate a compliant working culture.
•    Evaluate staff deployment and territory assignments, in collaboration with the Commercial Operations team.  Conduct annual and on-going performance discussions.
•    Monitor field activity to ensure balanced and appropriate workloads; exercise control over resources, budgets, and expenses; oversee business operations including, training, POA planning, etc.
•    Work with cross functional partners to include Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations, and Commercial Learning to prepare strategies, quarterly business reviews and realistic plans that drive results.

Financials
•    Analyze the markets in which the company competes or will compete, to propose and implement operational plans that will maximize business opportunity.
•    Ensure that forecasted objectives are achieved with effective financial planning. Continually review financial results to identify negative variances; develop action plans to address issues. Manage expenses to budget and deliver targeted margin contribution.
•    Aggressively drive the growth of the business by establishing account management goals for the immunology portfolio, successfully launching new biosimilar products, establishing, and managing effective key operational partnerships in line with the strategic guidance from

Qualifications

Required Skills: 
•    10+ years commercial management experience including: marketing, operations, and/or access experience required
•    5+ years of commercial Immunology experience preferred
•    Demonstrated ability to lead successful biologic launches 
•    Ability to build a Best in Marketplace culture that drives growth and performance
•    Buy and bill experience required
•    Thorough understanding of US compliance laws and guidelines
•    Experience in the academic (hospital/IDN) and community setting preferred; demonstrated ability to navigate complex accounts and build relationships with diverse stakeholders
•    Experience and understanding of commercial and public payer reimbursement methodologies for specialty biologics 
•    Experience communicating available contracting terms
•    Understanding of payer benefit desig
