Manager, Finance Business Partner

Overview

•Finance Business Partner for MPS business in Norway
•Reports into Director, Finance Business Partner, Bill Pay

Role
•Key member of the MPS Norway Management Team, providing day to day financial support to the business.
•Responsibility for planning and forecasting activities, including budget and medium-long term plans.
•Support MPS strategic plans by providing relevant financial analytics and business insights to key stakeholders, while developing robust tracking mechanisms.
•Apply strategic understanding of business dynamics and financial analysis to drive revenue and cost improvements within MPS.
•Lead month close process for MPS Norway, ensuring accurate and timely financials delivery – review of revenue and cost accruals, analysis of P&L variance against budget, forecast and prior year, analysis of key performance drivers.
•Prepare and review management reporting packages and financial presentations for Local and Global Management, and other ad-hoc business reviews.
•Preparation of quarterly legal entity reporting and commentary for board use.
•Additional monthly reporting of financial KPIs and financial information to the local management team.
•Review and analysis of customer and product business cases to ensure financial soundness.
•Working with GBSC and business leads to identify opportunities for process improvements within billing and AR processes.
•Support business in annual pricing adjustments, including price modelling, submission to MCBS, and cooperation with the European Pricing Committee and MCBS to ensure pricing changes are implemented in an efficient manner.
•Working with controllership, risk, compliance, and treasury to ensure that financial processes within MPS are compliant with regulatory and legal entity requirements.
•Ad hoc scenario analysis as required.

•Ability to manage multiple activities of different nature in a condensed timeframe.

•Strong strategic thinking and business understanding.
•Strong relationship management and networking skills.
•Maturity to challenge ideas and balance opportunities and threats.
•Comfortable interacting with all levels of management.
•Advanced PC, modelling, and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative)
•Good knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and experience with financial systems/applications (e.g. Hyperion and Oracle)
•Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline.
