Consultant/Senior Consultant, Energy & Transport, Stockholm, Göteborg or Malmö (other locations in Sweden can be relevant)

We are looking for a Consultant/Senior Consultant to join our industry team Energy & Transport, focusing on global growth of Swedish companies and attracting foreign direct investments to Sweden.

In the role, you will gain hands-on experience in international business development while learning from experienced colleagues. You will work independently and in teams across diverse projects, giving you exposure to global markets and innovative industries. Tasks include identifying new business opportunities, developing value propositions, stakeholder analysis and management, arranging business meetings, and building networks.

You will collaborate closely with Project Managers and senior experts, ensuring continuous learning and mentorship. You will also engage with external stakeholders and represent Business Sweden in collaboration projects and networks. The position will be based in one of Business Sweden’s offices in Sweden, based on dialogue with the candidate. You will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required. Our Energy & Transport team drives initiatives that accelerate Sweden’s role in the global transition toward sustainable energy and mobility. We work at the intersection of energy technologies, battery innovation, and transport & mobility solutions, supporting Swedish companies in scaling internationally and attracting foreign investments to strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness. The team collaborates with industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to promote cutting-edge solutions in electrification, renewable energy, smart grids, and next-generation transport systems. Responsibilities

• Deliver projects that support promotional activities and clients in their international business development
• Independently carry out market and industry analyses and other client deliverables
• Develop points of view, value propositions, and promotional marketing materials
• Manage and drive own workflows and take on project manager roles in smaller projects.
• Break down own work into process steps, oversee multiple workstreams, prioritize correctly, and deliver results
• Provide support in client dialogues and meetings with government representatives
• Support the team in strategic business development projects and in improving internal processes and tools
• Support small and medium-sized companies in their internationalization, as well as international investors towards Sweden

Formal requirements

• A higher academic degree (Master of Science or equivalent)
• Background as a management consultant, or similar, with about 2-4 years’ experience.
• Experience working with market analysis and research
• Experience developing digital tools or data analytics
• Great relationship-building and team-working skills in networks internally and externally
• Experienced user in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• High level of proficiency in written and spoken English is required; Swedish is meriting
• Meriting: relevant industry knowledge related to either Energy or Transport (e.g., energy technologies, automotive, electrification, batteries)
• Meriting: experience working outside Sweden and with international companies and global projects
